Surya Manoj Vangala’s directorial debut Brinda is a thought-provoking series on religion, faith and human nature, led by a star performance by Trisha Krishnan. The writer-director’s story focuses on Trisha’s title character who is still struggling with her identity as an adult. The rookie cop is tasked with a routine case, which turns into something much larger, thanks to her investigative skills. Mixing themes of crime thriller with superstitious practices, the over-arching narrative keeps you on the edge of your seat as the chase of the serial killer intensifies.
